Resurrection MPLS is our cooperative ministry partnership with City of Lakes Covenant Church

It is borne of our belief that we are better together - that our congregations working and worshipping in cooperation can be more faithfulmore missional, and more effective sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in south Minneapolis. Our goal is for all people in our community to discover and live into their ultimate purpose - that each one of us was created to glorify God and enjoy God forever.

Resurrection MPLS is a fruit of our vision for cooperative ministry. Cooperative ministry can be defined as:

“...[S]everal congregations in a particular geographical area...that covenant together to envision that area as the place in which Christ is calling them to cooperatively plan and engage in ministry and mission. While each congregation maintains its own session or board, the covenant requires the participating congregations to share ideas, energies, leadership and resources. The goal of cooperative ministry is to maximize and focus the ministry of the participating congregations it is a way to enliven congregations and allow them to move from an attitude of surviving to one of thriving. It may involve churches from one denomination or it may be ecumenical.” - Spiritual Vitality Through Cooperative Ministry

Aldrich continues to maintain its distinct identity as a congregation with our own leadership & membership. However, one of the primary ways we express that identity is joining together for the purpose of common mission and ministry with our brothers and sisters from City of Lakes.
